My Go-To Simple + Elegant Manicure

My Go-To Simple + Elegant Manicure

I love all things manicure! A good mani is one way I love to practice grooming and self care. I have also gone from wanting long artsy nails, to only doing neutrals because my Nigerian father wasn’t having my colored claws 😂.

In 2019, I decided I was going to stay off aclyric nails for a while. Didn’t know that COVID-19 was going to help make sure I stayed true to that promise. However, for my 23rd birthday this year, I got falsies out of excitement.

After taking out my falsies, I wanted a got to simple yet elegant manicure I could always do to help me achieve the put-together look I always want to have. I stumbled on the French Manicure and I must say I’m officially hooked.

I got these done at The Nail Boutique Ikoyi, I found them on Google by simply typing “Nail salons near me”. I placed a call to book an appointment as they aren’t accepting walk-ins at this time.
On getting there, they maintained all safety precautions against COVID 19 and sanitized as often as possible.

I was asked to choose from a range of polishes what shade I wanted my french manicure base to be. After which, the take down process for my acrylic nails began. In all my years of getting my nails done in Nigeria, they have the best take down process I have ever experienced and their customer service is top notch!

My french manicure was done using soak-off gel polish on my natural nails and cost N5000, I definitely do recommend visiting them if nail care is as important to you as gorgeous nails. 😊

I absolutely loved the results and I hope you do too 💓
